Mission San Juan Capistrano – Mission San Juan Capistrano is a historic chapel, landmark, and museum that was founded over two hundred years ago. Considered ‘the birthplace of Orange County’ the chapel, which still stands today, was the place where Saint Serra once celebrated mass. Mission San Juan Capistrano is a former Spanish mission founded in 1776 in colonial Las Californias by Spanish Catholic missionaries of the Franciscan Order.
